Yutong Truck Launch Event Held in Chile to Promote New Development of Green Transportation

Recently, Yutong successfully held a launch event of its new energy light truck T-series in Santiago, which is a debut of Yutong’s light trucks in Chile. After its deployment in Mexico, Yutong moves faster towards more markets, fully demonstrating China’s new energy manufacturing strength.

More than 400 local reporters and customer representatives presented to celebrate Yutong’s new chapter of new energy commercial vehicles in Chile.

Gian Frango Patrone, spokesperson of Chile’s largest lithium enterprise, said: “We have established a good partnership with Yutong for years. We deepened our cooperation as Yutong’s new energy vehicles have advantages in energy conservation and emission reduction, technologies and product qualities such as durability. We believe its second generation light trucks will definitely share these advantages.”

In recent years, the Chile government is vigorously supporting the application of new energy vehicles and plans to realize the full electrification of public transport by 2035. Yutong’s cooperation with Chile dates back to 2005, and has been deepened and expanded in various segments over the years. After nearly 20 years of efforts in Chile, Yutong’s new energy vehicles have been used in multiple scenarios such as buses, coaches and mining trucks.

Yutong delivered 214 battery electric buses to Chile in February this year, making it Chile’s largest new energy bus brand. The second-generation light trucks with YEA, the core new energy technology independently developed by Yutong, also have a role to play in Chile’s green logistics development.

Yutong’s light trucks have completed the early market development in countries like Chile and Mexico and been recognized by more customers globally. In terms of product layout, Yutong will continue to bring T5 version with high battery capacity and T2 multi-scenario light-duty trucks into various markets to meet customer demands worldwide.
